Alex Johnson

Alex is a  member of the Chicago area funk rock band Summer Drive, who are two time Bitter Jester Music Festival Grand Champions. BJMF is the midwest’s largest professional music competition for emerging artists. In the 2022 competition Alex won MVP Guitarist. Their 2021 win led to multiple performance opportunities including opening for the Steve Miller Band at an outdoor concert series.

When not performing and recording with Summer Drive Alex can be found gigging with various local performers, working as a session musician, and composing and recording guitar for Trilogy. He is also a guitar teacher.
